Thomas Azier est un compositeur, producteur, chanteur et interprète néerlandais. Son premier album, Hylas, a été lancé pendant ses années à Berlin, sur son propre label éponyme. Il a remporté deux Edison Awards, un prix de la Deutsche Schallplattenkritik pour Rouge et un prix du meilleur clip à Berlin pour Verwandlung.

Au cours des douze dernières années, Thomas Azier a sorti six albums qui ont façonné son propre style de pop music. Ses chansons Red Eyes et The Dreamer In Her ont été utilisées dans des campagnes pour YSL La Nuit de l’Homme, tandis que Love, Disorderly figure sur la bande originale du film à succès The Equalizer 3.

Thomas a donné plus de 500 concerts, participant à des festivals tels que Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, les Eurockéennes et le Montreal Jazz Festival. Ces quatre dernières années, il a collaboré régulièrement avec des musiciens européens issus des scènes jazz et classique, notamment le batteur Simon Segers, le saxophoniste Maarten Hogenhuis, l'arrangeur Janos Mijnssen, le guitariste expérimental Obi Blanche et la synthétiste Annelotte Coster.

Son influence sur la scène pop européenne se manifeste également à travers son travail en tant qu’auteur et producteur pour des artistes comme Stromae, Faber, Morpheus, Hang Youth et Anouk.

Between Björk and Eliane Radigue, from choirs like pieces to long meditative stretches, « At the Event Horizon » explores the boundaries of presence and space. On the trace of memory, scales of magnitude blend and merge. To avoid getting lost in this sensitive journey, he surrounded himself with close collaborators. Camille Delvecchio and Clément Variéras joined him on his quest, the first with her voice, the second with his bow. In four tracks, the argonauts teach us that together we can return from afar.
