Piffy x Kiche - Mélodie Blaison

Crybaby Piffy and beatbouncer Kiche present their newborn music amidst Botanique’s florality. Their collaborative EP, I Saw the Mountains in a Golden Glow, is a small and vivid collection of heartfelt memories surrounding regret, warmth, and anxious desire. Inspired by the ceaseless hum of the city’s heart and an alpine cow’s calm exhale, Piffy and Kiche paint a potent world where sincerity meets joyful unexpectedness.

The two met during a 2023 Overlast project, where writing sessions quickly became playgrounds of silly wordplay, nerdy humor, and skinny melodies spun around metallic rhythms. I Saw the Mountains in a Golden Glow tends to embrace this cheekiness, blending quirky winks with organic honesty.

Mélodie Blaison

Mélodie Blaison is a french artist, flutist and composer based in Brussels. Integrating her classical training with experimental and electronic production, her research is rooted in a desire to create narrative, immersive and sensory experiences.

With a sensual, intimate approach to breath, her music, somewhere between acoustic and synthetic, is a ceremonial interval whose ghostly presences and organic harmonies disturb landmarks and stretch time into an emotional journey.

Avant le Rivage, released in 2024 on Wabi-Sabi Tapes, is her second album, following VINTVRI, released on Grande Rousse Disques in 2022.
