Ekkstacy est un jeune originaire de Vancouver. A seulement 19 ans, il se présentait déjà comme une des stars montantes de la scène indie surf rock et commencait à écrire ses premières chansons inspirées d'expériences personnelles bouleversantes comme la toxicomanie ou encore le divorce de ses parents. Sa musique est influencée par Elliott Smith, The Drums, Bon Iver et Lil Peep.

Il a d'ailleurs été découvert par le frontman du groupe The Drums, Jonathan Pierce. Rendez-vous dans nos serres pour découvrir sur scène celui que Les Inrocks considèrent comme « la nouvelle sensation de la scène surf rock ». Après nous avoir présenté son premier mini-album intitulé « Negative », Ekkstacy revient dans notre Rotonde avec un nouvel album en poche.
