RainboWarriors: Rebeka Warrior - Cate Hortl - Baby Volcano

WARRIORECORDS and Wart present RainboWarriors Tour: a tour in France and abroad, alongside Rebeka Warrior, to celebrate “RainboWarriors vol 1”.

“RainboWarriors vol 1” is the first WARRIORECORDS compilation curated by Rebeka Warrior and bringing together 15 original tracks by 15 artists from all backgrounds and, for the most part, from the queer scene, grouped together s under the same banner Dark and New Wave.

REBEKA WARRIOR

Rebeka Warrior is a writer, composer and performer who plays music in 3 duos: Mansfield.TYA, Sexy Sushi, and KOMPROMAT. A multi-instrumentalist singer, she has been mixing and producing solo for several years and performs in France and abroad. She co-founded WARRIORECORDS in 2020.

CATE HORTL

Throughout her life, Charlotte Boisselier has never decided between her fascination with the energy of the club and her passion for the haunted melodies of dark pop. After months of frantic touring with the duos Ambeyance and Oktober Lieber, she finally found the space to realize her long-standing explorations and give substance to the exciting alias Cate Hortl, who will fuel her blaze with a modern italo, dark heavy-footed pop and ecstatic techno.

By appropriating these registers and their contradictions, she has developed an exciting first EP entitled “SMOG”, released in October 2021 on the Ritmo Fatale label. Less than a year later, supported by the label Warriorecords, the producer continued with a second EP “HEX”, released in June 2022.

BABY VOLCANO

Baby Volcano is an outstanding Guatemalan-Swiss performer and musician. Endowed with magnetic energy, she is known for giving captivating lives, making her a real stage beast.

His first EP, “Síndrome Premenstrual”, released in September 2021, appears like a lava flow in the underground musical landscape. A surprising blend of hip-hop, trap, electro and Latin music, his WITCH POP seeks to create an organic and physical auditory experience.

The year 2023 was marked by the conflagration of European festivals, where Baby Volcano ignited the various stages of the Eurockéennes at the Dour Festival, from the Transmusicales to Eurosonic, via Roskilde, Bad Bonn Kilbi, the Printemps de Bourges, the Nuits Sonores, Paléo and Monkey Week to name just a few.

Her daring artistic journey and her ability to push the boundaries of genres make Baby Volcano a creative force to follow closely. Her captivating music and explosive performances make her an artist who continues to make an impact and redefine the standards of contemporary artistic expression.

NEPHTYS

Nephtys is a Belgian-Syrian artist from Brussels. As a singer and rapper, she takes us into her world with versatility.

Refusing the stereotypes of misogynistic rap and sexist violence, she proposes conscious writings with subtlety. With her experiences on different Jazz and Pop scenes, she also reconnects to her first love, Soul and Hip Hop.

The name Nephtys is a tribute to the Egyptian divinity, accompanist of births and funeral rites, woman of all moments, she is the alter-ego of the singer.

RESTING BASS FACE

RESTING BASS FACE is a Djuo made by Itaho and XANASS, who have turned the club scene into their favourite playground. They're ready to take you on board for their hyper-physical, percussive sets, slaloming from jersey to ballroom via reggaeton and trap, always punctuated by a hint of bass, a nod to the UK scene. Only fierce queen attitude accepted.
