In order to contribute, on our level, to the collective efforts against the spread of Covid-19, the Botanique is interrupting all its cultural activities - concerts and exhibitions - from this Friday 13 March until 31 March 2020 inclusive.

We are working, at this very moment, on the re-programming of the 33 concerts that are concerned in our venues of the Orangerie, the Rotonde and the Witloof bar. We will keep our public informed of any new dates, for which the previously purchased tickets remain valid. Cancelled concerts will be automatically refunded. All necessary information is updated daily and available on our website www.botanique.be and on our social networks.

Thousands of hours of work by our staff, of artistic creation and mobilisation have been suspended with the fervent hope of bringing them to fruition in the near and serene future.

Thank you to our public and all our partners, artists and others for this loyalty which gives meaning to our Botanical project.

PS: Tonight's JAY1 concert is still taking place as scheduled.

The Brussels Capital Region has accepted the propositions by the government concerning the current health situation, and has set them in motion. The experts consulted by the government have concluded that the acceptable level of attendees at an indoors event is set at 999 people. The different concert halls at Botanique, which are secluded from each other and have been isolated well, meet this requirement and offer concerts with maximum capacities of anywhere between 200 and 700 people. None of our halls have a capacity of over 1000.

Starting tonight, access to our toilets will be free from 19:30. This will allow you to wash your hands more often.

Poppy's concert on March 18 is cancelled, all details can be found here

ARE THE CONCERTS STILL TAKING PLACE AT LE BOTANIQUE? YES.

None of the artists with shows at Botanique in the near future have asked to cancel their concerts. The impact of the situation has been limited so far. Audience numbers at our recent events and ticket sales of our upcoming shows indicate that audiences do not want any cancellations either.

The Botanique will of course comply with any instructions dictated by the health authorities of our country (SPF Santé) and other competent authorities in terms of the organisation of collective life.

ARE REFUNDS FOR CONCERT TICKETS AND EXHIBITIONS ARE POSSIBLE? NO.

As long as the concerts are scheduled, the tickets acquired are not refundable and there is no reason to refund them. They can of course be resold. The refund of tickets is of course activated in case of cancellation of a concert or of the access to the exhibitions at the Botanique.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS? YES.

Concerts are held in enclosed locations for one or two consecutive hours of performances. It is of course recommended not to attend if you appear to be suffering from some of the symptoms described in the media (repeated coughing, fatigue, headache and sudden fever...) or if you have recently returned home after having spent time in a high-risk area.

Washing your hands regularly is highly recommended. We also recommend the use of single-use handkerchiefs in case of coughing and sneezing. Please make sure to dispose of them in the available garbage cans. If no handkerchiefs are available, the sleeve should be used. Even though we highly appreciate conviviality at the Botanique, kisses, hugs and other forms of hand "squeezing" are also to be avoided as long as this particular flu is present.
