Le Botanique team is pleased to invite you to the opening of our next exhibition: ART CONTEST 2023, ABSENCES by Eloïse Lega and VACILLER.

The opening of these exhibitions will be held on friday, december 25, 2023 between 6 pm and 9 pm at the Gallery, the Museum and the Serres.

Initiated by Valérie Boucher, the ArtContest competition has shortlisted ten candidates who will exhibit their work at Le Botanique this year. Between 16 December and 4 February, a panel of judges will select the four winners.

The 10 artists selected are : Adrien Degioanni, Hannah De Corte , Jimena Chavez Delion, Judith Eva Geerts, Juliette Vanwaterloo, Oya (Ouyang Yuzhen), Pedram Kargar, Frank & Robert Robert & Frank, Stephanie Rizaj and Yuan Yue.

Sculpture et parasites is a series of exhibitions bringing together sculpture students from ARBA-ESA, alumni of the same studio, as well as contemporary artists of different generations.
The three-part cycle was initiated by Pierre Daniel and Lucie Lanzini at the invitation of Grégory Thirion and will run from 15 December 2023 to July 2024 in the Botanique's Serres.

Disappearance is only complete when those who remember also disappear. When every trace – however infinitesimal – can no longer express anything. Yet, if a memory survives, if the image can be brought back to life, albeit just for a moment, then the absence – and sometimes even the presence – is conjured up...
