To immerse himself in the primeval forest in Brazil, with an open and enquiring eye and no other aim: this was the basic premise of Stephan De Broyer’s first photographic expeditions.
When
28 November 2019 to 05 January 2020NATIVE FLORA AND FAUNA RAISED SO MANY QUESTIONS, REMINDING HIM OF HOW MUCH HE DID NOT KNOW.
It was only after several journeys between the two continents that the photographer spotted a new significance in his images and encounters. Native flora and fauna raised so many questions, reminding him of how much he did not know. These new perspectives sent him in new directions, less dreamlike, exploring the ecological challenges of the exploitation of the fertile land and its many by-products.
THESE NEW PERSPECTIVES SENT HIM IN NEW DIRECTIONS, LESS DREAMLIKE
