In collaboration with Estelle Saignes, Paul Gérard invites visitors to step into an imaginary landscape, a sort of child’s play. His immersive installation Rue Monrose, 62: la chambre l'enfant le train examines our relationship with disaster tales and the sounds and images that make them up. Extending this multidisciplinary dialogue, Paul invites Estelle to sing live her loops alongside choreographer Solal Mariotte, who invites us to a special exploration of the space – an encounter-research on Rue Montrose 62.

Estelle Saignes is a French American performance artist who graduated from ENSAV La Cambre in 2020. She has contributed texts and performed in Myriam Pruvot’s Opéra modeste, among other plays, and regularly proposes narrative performances, such as Tour of the Lake House and Summer Heat Picnic.

The artist is fascinated by the narrative reconstruction of specific places, by melodrama, and by constrained relationships with the landscape. She tries to synthesise these failed idyllic experiences using weavings, quilts, and performances as a medium for projection.

Born in France in 2001, Solal Mariotte discovered dance through hip-hop before training in contemporary dance. The versatile creator and artist has also performed for some of the world’s leading choreographers. His solo entitled Collages/Ravages was first performed in France as a duet with musician Jean-Luc Plouvier at the Suresnes Cités Danse festival on 11 January 2024. This piece raises questions about identity, intergenerational relations, and legacy.
