Sculpture et parasites #3 : Cultiver, sculpter, végéter

Entitled Cultivate, Sculpt, Vegetate, the third exhibition of the cycle features sculptures questioning their relationship with vegetation. Growing Atropa belladonna (also known as deadly nightshade), potting plants imported from the Democratic Republic of the Congo inside shell casings, growing mushrooms, germinating a sweet potato, sculpting a cabbage infested with parasites, playing with the suggestive resemblance between palm branches and hanging blinds, or shaping imaginary plants are some of the many ways in which artists incorporate plants into their sculptures while simultaneously exploring their own specific themes. In the unique setting of the greenhouses, the sense of plants and sculptures flourishes, grows, and vegetates.
