YÔKAÏ (LIVESTREAM)

Yôkaï, a Brussels-based collective founded in 2011, is currently composed of eight multi-instrumentalists from the jazz, rock and jam scenes. Originally infused with ethio-jazz, oriental-psychedelic and afro-kraut influences, their sound is now evolving towards areas where raw improvisation takes a more prominent role, and transcends stylistic barriers. On stage, their performances are always unique and organic, captivating, unifying and encouraging inner exploration as much as they do dance.

The summer is going to be busy at Botanique! 16 bands and artists who would have played in our venues this spring or autumn will have the opportunity to rehearse on a large stage for three days as part of the artists in residence summer programme. At the end of their residence, they will play an exclusive concert that will be broadcast live on our Facebook and Youtube pages. It may not fully give you the feeling of a live performance, but this is the best we can do for now! Please make a contribution if you can; all the money will go to the artists.
