Warmduscher is throwing a party and you're all invited to tag along. Together with your favorite funky garage band we've curated an XL line-up spanning a full evening and taking place in three different rooms. Expect the most exciting new bands mixing punk, indie, garage and more for a wild night of rock & roll.
WARMDUSCHER
Warmduscher are a group of miscreants, known only by aliases (Clams Baker Jr, Lightnin’ Jack Everett, Salt Fingers, Quicksand and Dr. Withers aka Little Whiskers). Ardent fans, Iggy Pop and Marc Riley have only gleaming praise to heap on the band, and in return, Warmduscher have blessed them both with immortality. The band’s live show has left thousands across the UK and Europe desperate for more. During their set at End of the Road Festival 2018, they were accused of inciting a riot and thrown into a giant hole.
MALICE K
Malice K is an Olympia, WA born, NYC-based artist whose songwriting is a mix of boyish charm juxtaposed with bruting, raw darkness and beautiful artistry. As a former member of Deathproof Inc, he has amassed a cult following as an atypical artist with a bi-polar nature, hopping from provocative punk-thrash-rock to lyrically melodic and acoustic.
Emerging from the convergence of introspection and innovation, Malice K is a visionary musician who intricately weaves emotive narratives through his music. With a commitment to authenticity and an old-school ethos, his artistry illuminates the modern landscape.
On his 2022 EP Clean Up On Aisle Heaven, FADER said "Pivoting easily from an Elliott Smith croon to an Isaac Brock bark, Malice K pushes past the usual pop pleasantries. He shows a cool disdain for the vibe he's encapsulated so effortlessly, but his structures are studiously rendered. It's clear he's a disciple of the genres he seemingly scoffs at, always taking the time to read the book before he throws it away." His debut album is slated for 2024.
Son premier album est prévu pour 2024.
MARY IN THE JUNKYARD
An alternative London trio made up of Clari Freeman-Taylor, Saya Barbaglia and David Addison, Mary in the Junkyard have built up a solid reputation thanks to impressive live performances at the Brixton Windmill as well as the Green Man and End of the Road festivals. Their fragile yet fearless debut single, 'Tuesday', quickly established them as an essential band to keep an eye on.
THE BELAIR LIP BOMBS
The Belair Lip Bombs are Maisie Everett ( Guitar & Vox ), Mike Bradvica ( Guitar ), Jimmy Droughton ( Bass ) and Liam De Bruin ( Drums ), four close friends from a coastal town in Victoria, Australia called Frankston.
The band has really hit their stride recently with the release of their debut album ‘Lush Life’. The record is 10 tracks of evocative exploration; stories that run a gamut of longing, seeking new horizons and discovering new paths to satisfaction and self-fulfillment. It showcases the bands evolution and song writing abilities with striking indie arrangements and catchy hooks. The album is starting to catch worldwide attention and the band is gearing up towards a breakout year in 2024.
SPECIAL INTEREST
Special Interest, a band from New Orleans, is known for their uncompromising approach, blending dance music and punk culture. Emerging from the DIY scene, they evolved from a duo to a collective unit, defying genre constraints. Albums like "Spiraling" and "The Passion Of" showcased their evolving style, leading to the pandemic-inspired "Endure," marked by experimentation.
Collaboration is central to their creative process, with each member contributing to the unique sound. Their music addresses universal themes like gentrification and climate change, combining a call to action with humor and irreverence. "Endure" carries a theme of endurance, urging listeners to navigate an often unwelcoming world.
Special Interest sees themselves as part of a living collective, dissolving the barrier between performer and listener. Their narrative reflects a commitment to artistic freedom, social consciousness, and dynamic, ever-evolving music creation.
MOCK MEDIA
Mock Media’s debut LP Mock Media capture this fire brand four piece’s head on plunge into enthralling existential contradictions: songs that explore the darkest corners of humanity, yet come out at the other end with the unwavering joy that marked their genesis. It’s an album of sneaky eclecticism: the high wired punk rock stylings serve as Mock Media’s framework to clad their agog explorations into pop, electronic and world folk music.
En combinant leurs créativités, le quatuor s’aventure dans des directions étranges en passant par des éléments de musique tribale jusqu’à s’inspirer du rock country des années 1960.
THE NEW EVES
With an unusual lineup of cello, violin, flute, guitar, bass and drums, The New Eves DIY nature and fierce spirit seem to be conjuring some kind of folkloric punk revival. With a poetic honesty about who they are and what they love at the core, their rhythms are like galloping horses and were they on a mountaintop, their voices would ring for miles.
Going to a New Eves show is like being complicit in some kind of ritualistic opening. They tear up rock and roll at its roots, expressing a journey through seance, strings and electric guitar. They’re a work of art to witness and a sensational climax to be felt.
