THEIR MIX OF GARAGE, POP, COUNTRY AND DISCO HITS THE MARK AND IT' S WITH NONCHALANCE AND A LOT OF CYNICISM THAT THE FOUR GUYS TELL US ABOUT THEIR VISA PROBLEMS AGAINST THE BACKGROUND OF A DRUM MACHINE AND FILTHY GUITARS.

LE VILLEJUIF UNDERGROUND

Take the Australian Nathan Roche, add the three Frenchies of Geto Tropic and you have in front of you the Villejuif Underground. Coolest band of ‘94 according to the Inrockuptibles !

After releasing a first opus on the SDZ Records label and an ep entitled "Heavy Black Matters" on Born Bad Records, Le Villejuif Underground asserted themselves without any warning in the French rock scene.

After successful performances alongside King Khan & the Shrines, Ausmuteants and Bazooka, it is now at the Nuits Botanique 2020 that the band will introduce us to "When Will The Flies in Deauville Drop?", their brilliant new project.

BRYAN'S A MAGIC TEARS

Remember those American moth eaten bands, signed on unreachable labels in the Midwest who, in the mid-1990s, were pounding choruses to make the Smashing Pumpkins pale with the most rotten sound in the history of electricity? No, maybe not. Well, you should know that Bryan's Magic Tears could very well have been one of them. This project, launched 4 years ago by Benjamin Dupont (Dame Blanche) and in which we meet members and ex-members of La Secte du Futur and Marietta, has all the makings to fill this niche, not so common these days, for that matter: toxic melodies, guitars alternating whip and stroke, its phantomatic and convoluted name referring to an obtrusive Parisian acid dealer.

Moreover for Vice, "the last album of the Parisians, "4AM", comes after a delicious and immediate first effort, in the same vein as the best of Pavement and Dinosaur Jr and the mixed feelings of the end of a summer day when we simultaneously realise the bond that unites us with our friends and the fact that we will probably find ourselves alone for the rest of our lives." The rest can be listened to at home or live.
