À seulement 25 ans, Silvana Estrada est déjà reconnue par certains comme l’un des plus grands talents ayant éclos au Mexique. Affiliée à la mouvance d'artistes indépendants de Mexico, Silvana a toujours donné une place importante à la musique. Ses parents étaient fabricants de guitares. A la maison, son quotidien est donc rythmé par les échos d’instruments à cordes, qui donneront plus tard naissance à ses premières compositions.

Son album « Marchita » nous offre une beauté douloureuse et universelle. Douloureuse, parce qu'il s'agit d'une période de sa vie qu'elle a décidé de clore, mais aussi universelle parce que cela semble familier à quiconque ayant déjà vécu un chagrin d'amour. Son mélange de folk mexicain, de pop et de jazz fait parfaitement honneur à ce cocktail d’émotions.

TRIANA Y LUCA

Triana y Luca transcend barriers of genre and cultural tradition. The duo explore their own identities as migrants and their diasporic Spanish & Latin American roots. Neither grew up playing folk music; but together, they explore stories lost in translation and bring their own contemporary take on traditional music. Their sound reflects a deep exploration of ancient knowledge, nature, sorrow, and love.

Their compositions take inspiration from styles like Flamenco, Son Jarocho, Boleros, Rancheras, and música Llanera, while at the same time influenced by their backgrounds in improvisation, jazz, and poetry.

On the 23rd of June, the duo will release their debut EP "Fragmentos del Olvido". A collection of stories and sonorities sewn into five songs of different styles and rhythms. Showcasing an eclectic mix of elements such as chamber folk, acapella vocals, and improvisation, while incorporating traditional instruments like the bombo legüero and cuatro venezolano, the duo bring a contemporary perspective to Ibero-american folk.
