"Funky, bluesy… Fueled by Robert's soulful Southern grit”
Every generation thinks the blues is dead and buried, impossible to resurrect. But every ten or twenty years, a miracle happens. With his big smile, cowboy figure, bluesman's heart pinned to the sleeve of a cotton shirt and soulman's legs, Robert Finley plays the blues as if he'd just invented it. In 2016, his debut album entitled 'Age Don't Mean a Thing' already proved that at 62, there was still time to become a star of the genre.
Now, with three albums produced by Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), the latest of which, 'Black Bayou', was released in 2023, Robert Finley is gradually moving away from classic soul with horns and backing vocals to rediscover the rhythm and blues of the wild bayous of Louisiana. A raw gem in the tradition of funky, saturated blues from the 50s, it's sure to leave your legs aching the day after your visit to the Museum!
