The music of Atlanta trio Omni has always swung fast and hit hard. And Souvenir, their fourth album and second for Sub Pop, packs their biggest punch yet. Inactive during the majority of the pandemic–the longest downtime in their history–they approached this recording with lots of pent-up energy. Guitarist Frankie Broyles, singer/bassist Philip Frobos, and drummer Chris Yonker converted their creative fuel into sharp, driving songs that land immediately, sporting chopping riffs, staccato beats, and wiry melodies.

CICADA

Cicada (fka Siril) is the coming together of Cedric Vaessen (Wooly Mammoths), Siel Van Puyenbroeck (The Pink Lemons) and Julien Tanghe (JAKOMO), somewhere on the verge of psychedelic rock, garage and apocalyptic folk. 

Propelled by a locomotive of frantic guitar riffs and straight forward drums, Cedric's songwriting hosts a powerful yet strongly melodic kindness. This uttermost fun to watch trio is currently preparing the release of a debut ep in collaboration with NYC-based Sean Michael Raab (Wooly Mammoths, Fat Trout Trailer Park).
