“Meskerem Mees enchants from the moment she opens her mouth.”
Armed with nothing but her intriguing voice, her acoustic guitar and the cello of her buddy, Meskerem Mees transforms her layered and carefully crafted songs into the sweetest ear-candy. In 2020 the young Belgian musician conquered the radiowaves and the hearts of a nation with first single ‘Joe’. Meskerem releases her enchanting debut album in November 2021, produced by Koen Gisen.
SURA SOL
La musique et les mots de Sura Sol prennent aux tripes. Sa performance est extrêmement intime et à la fois inclusive. Accompagnée de sa guitare et de son ukulélé, elle se dévoile à travers de nouvelles compositions venant d'horizons divers, larmoyants, clownesques. Inspirée par des artistes comme Bobby Mc Ferrin, Lior Shoov, Devendra Banhart et Noname, elle passe du blues au slam, de l'improvisation vocale au folk, avec des sonorités provenant de ses origines juives mixtes. Étant une des musiciennes du trio bruxellois Las Lloronas, elle se livre en solo à un spectacle plus intime et sans fioritures.
