Straight from Manchester, Maruja have already established themselves as one of the most innovative, turbulent and essential bands of recent years, thanks to their breathtaking jazz punk melodies. The band, made up of singer and guitarist Harry Wilkinson, drummer Jacob Hayes, bassist Matt Buonaccorsi and saxophonist Joe Carroll, created a sensation and were noticed by NME and So Young Magazine, not forgetting BBC Radio 6, which gave them airplay. With this evocative power, the quartet played to sold-out audiences across the UK and Europe, perfecting their art over the last ten years. Maruja returns to present her latest work, ‘The Invisible Man’, the second track from a highly anticipated EP due to be unveiled later this year. The single explores the theme of mental health, with lyrics shaped by personal experience and an instrumentalisation of the track that is both raw and mystical. If you missed them at last year's Nuits, now's the time to catch up!
