Live at Museum : Todor Todoroff

Todor Todoroff's electroacoustic music shows a particular interest in multiphonics, the management of sound space and experimentation with new methods of interaction and sound transformation. Alongside acousmatic music, he developed gesture-controlled virtual instruments, initially for the studio and work with dancers. He then perfected them for improvising with musicians such as Jean-Paul Dessy, Eric Sleichim and Stevie Wishart, before using them for solo concerts.

The latest developments were used for Métaboles, with an orchestra of twelve musicians equipped with joysticks, gamepads and sensors at the Ars Musica Festival in 2011, for the eVanescens project in 2012, where cellist Sigrid Vandenbogaerde wears sensors that also dialogue with Laura Colmenares Guerra's interactive video, and for his creations at Ars Musica in 2014 and 2016. Passionate about dialogue with other art forms, he also composes music for film, video, dance, theatre and sound installations.
