Botanique"She continues to wrestle with notions of restlessness and regret, masterfully so, which helps her understand her place in the world – and us to better understand ours. For that, we should be thankful."
Laura Jane Grace is a major figure in today’s rock scene as both a solo artist and the front person of Against Me!, which she founded in Naples, FL in the late 1990s. As a working artist, she has released four solo offerings and seven albums with Against Me!, and in 2012 went public with her gender transition in the pages of Rolling Stone. In her music, she continues to detail her journey all while staying true to her earlier themes of outspoken political critique – environmentalism along with personal and social liberation – with a base in American music including country and folk-rock, with a penchant for noise and anarchy.
PET NEEDS
PET NEEDS are Johnny (vocals), George (guitar), Jack (drums) and the newly introduced Ryan (bass). ‘Intermittent Fast Living’ is “a love letter to living small, from the chaos of the road” and will land in February 2024 and is the band’s’ third studio album, following explosive debut ‘Fractured Party Music’ and showstopping Frank Turner-produced follow-up ‘Primetime Entertainment’. Having attracted attention with their relentless live shows and powerful studio releases, PET NEEDS have attracted praise from the likes of Backseat Mafia, The Rodeo, Times Radio, NARC Magazine and more with the latter dubbing ‘Primetime Entertainment’ as a record of “joyous experimentation” in a four-out-of-five star review. Following an extensive UK, US and European tour supporting Frank Turner last year, 2023 has seen PET NEEDS support The Lottery Winners across the UK and complete their own headline tour as part of Independent Venue Week. Appearing at festivals including 2000 Trees, Dot To Dot, Bearded Theory and more across the Summer, they are currently wrapping up a US run alongside labelmates Skinny Lister and return for a run of headline shows this Winter. Performing new material and established favourites at a stretch of UK headline shows of their own throughout November and December, the band will also wrap-up the year with a huge homecoming show at Sub Zero in Colchester, in what is set to be their biggest headline gig to date; with very special support from The Lottery Winners.
