Kids Return is first of all about a deep friendship of Adrien Rozé and Clément Savoye since their childhood. They met each other at the age of 13 in Paris. Like in the film of the same name of the Japanese director Takeshi Kitano, the French duo's project speaks to us of the depth contained in the false naivety of childhood and the evocative power of nostalgia when it blurs the line between joy and sadness.

The sound of Kids Return can be found somewhere between the Mamas and the Papas, the orchestrations of Vladimir Cosma and the modesty of Joe Hisaishi's soundtracks. It draws on the energy of Blur and the vocal harmonies of MGMT, while revisiting these Anglo-Saxon influences with the precision and the delicacy and the arrangements of the band Air. The result is a romantic and melancholic melody, a laboratory of emotions that can be thought of in images.

Après avoir posé les bases de leur univers nostalgique sur un premier EP prometteur (“Walk Swim Fly”), Colver s’apprête à revenir sur les devants de la scène avec un premier album qui explore les méandres des relations humaines. Entre questionnement existentiel, insomnies, rupture et désillusion amoureuse, “Lifeshake” s’annonce comme un savoureux mélange d’émotions en tous genres sur fond de sonorités sophistiquées et de mélodies plus contagieuses que jamais. Un album à l’image d’une soirée d'errance au cœur de la capitale : on y danse, rit, pleure un peu aussi, et on se réveille avec un cocktail d’émotions partagées. Qualifié de “la relève de la Belpop” (JAM RTBF) et “des nouveaux crooners belges” (La Vague Parallèle), Colver suscite l’enthousiasme en réalisant un joli tour de force : faire danser les foules sur fond de sujets plus sombres, mais qui font tout simplement partie de la vie. “Lifeshake”, donc.
