In 2016, experimental musician Katie Gately introduced her music to the world when Tri Angle released her debut album ‘Color’. Remixes for Björk and Zola Jesus followed soon after, while Katie also co-produced serpentwithfeet’s debut album.

4 years on, follow-up ‘Loom’ arrives, a record dedicated to Katie’s recently deceased mother. Singles ‘Waltz’ and ‘Bracer’ are indicative of the ambition, innovation, and rich sound that the entire album exudes.

The music teacher might use experimental noises, but she fuses them into a sound that’s accessible, emotional and organic. Her maximalist pop reminds of Kate Bush, Björk and KFA Twigs, and is given an exhilarating cutting edge by unusual production techniques.
