For years, Kat's recordings have been shrouded in mystery. But they began to filter through recently when the Jam Hotel in Brussels was transformed into a creative haven for local artists and musicians. There, in room 603, this delirious new music finally took shape. Kat's musical universe recalls the lost happiness of the good, simple life; those instances of freedom and movement that exist between nostalgia and the pure pleasure of bodies in the here and now. Kat translates these sensations into music.

The result is funny, dusty, sparkling indie dance electro-funk tinged with false candour. Kat's sunny melodies bounce and tease over raw rhythms, playful grooves and a mix of organic percussion and drumtracks.  In a zany and surprising way, Kat offers a marriage between Sly Stone, Bootsy Collins and Daft Punk mixed with Tom Tom Club, Gino Soccio, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Laid Back, Mr. Scruff and the DFA team. Part vintage video game, part kung fu film, Kat's music aims to free people and transcend styles.
