Born into a cosmopolitan family, Joe Bel grew up traveling between the French Alps, the Mediterranean Sea and North America. She developed a love for music from an early age after being lulled by the vinyls of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Otis Redding, as well as the traditional Judeo-Spanish songs dear to the family. Instinctive and self-taught, Joe took her first steps on stage alone on guitar in 2012, just after the birth of her first child, at the age of 23. A few months later, Asaf Avidan discovered her captivating folk soul and offered her all the opening acts on her European tour. His acclaimed EP, “Hit the Roads”, allowed him to perform across Europe and as far as Japan.

In 2020, expecting her second child, she began writing her second opus, “Family Tree”: an exploration in search of her multiple origins, combining folk, heady melodies and Mediterranean colors. Through a sound that is always organic, in English and French, but also in Ladino, the old Spanish that her grandfather still spoke, she chooses to reveal herself a little more, in an album that invites you on a journey of transmission between generations. .

Between pop, folk and many other influences, Anwar is a globetrotter, a Brussels songwriter who has built himself through his travels, telling his everyday stories and those of people he meets on his path. It was in 2016 that this passionate autodidact released his first album “Beautiful Sunrise” (Sony Music) – listened to more than 17 million times on Spotify – and he then toured dozens of concerts, festivals and opening acts for artists confirmed.
