Since they've formed in 1995, Elysian Fields have always remained somewhat under the radar, especially in their native US. The New York duo have found more success in Europe, but their music has been heard across the globe, through theatre and dance performances, tv and cinema. Jennifer Charles sings about living in a world in flux, fighting through fear, love and seduction. Their lyrics and Charles’ sensual voice sound like they would be right at home at a beat poetry night. Oren Bloedow’s guitars, accompanied by jazzy piano, make for bluesy rock, which, combined with Jennifer’s voice, make the perfect soundtrack for a midnight road trip.
