Catbug is the project of singer-songwriter Paulien Rondou, who hails from Duisburg, a Belgian village near Tervuren. After completing her studies at the Antwerp Conservatory, Paulien moved to her mother and stepfather's small farm in Westmalle, and it was there that her wonderful songs were born.
In 2018, Catbug released her debut album 'Universe', which established her as a permanent fixture on the Belgian music scene. After a second album that confirmed her talent, Paulien is currently working on her third opus, to be released this year on the On The Level label. The album is a veritable ode to the birds of the farm and the surrounding area, which have served as both soil and inspiration for the artist's new songs, and her brand new single, "Kestrel", already sets the tone: "Birds have always stimulated and inspired me with their patterns of behaviour and their chirping. They speak to the child in me," says Paulien.
