ATOPOS (LIVE A/V)
Atopos is a duo created by Dj Kit and Ariane Kiks, who live between Paris and Brussels. Together, they seek to create sacred pop experiences, notably by taking up auto-tuned vocal lines and replacing productions with choirs only, thus accentuating the luminous and coded dimension of these two elements in the collective imagination.
Ariane is a freelance photographer and resident on Lyl Radio with the show *Xwishes as well as Internet Public Radio for the show Veil01 with Evida. Alex is a music producer, 1/3 of the band Planet 1999 (PC Music).
AYA
aya is a flesh and blood artist from the North of England. Her work focuses on the transfigurative power of memory and experience on the human body. In October 2021, aya released her long-awaited debut album "im hole" with Hyperdub. Over the course of 11 tracks, the artist moves between experimental club sounds and psychedelic colorations.
With numerous collaborations with Local Action, 2BReal, Tri Angle Records, Astral Plane Recordings and Wisdom Teeth, among others, she now co-directs the YCO label with BFTT. Alongside her philanthropic work, aya has been collaborating with NTS radio for the past 3 years on a monthly residency.
DIDA & DJ STARTUP
Dida is both Dennis Vanderauwera's stage name and his nickname: a telling example of his constant flirtation with the boundary between the formal and the informal. Dida sees stupidity and genius as two components of the same whole.
The DJ and composer produces tracks that are both complex and accessible, like his latest project, "Waes Hael!", released at Christmas 2021. Live, expect a similarly tortuous ambience, demonstrating his vision on classical and his keen sense for drama. From stammering to musically adapted muteness, Dida reveals his appeal for the Flemish silly, leaving nothing untouched.
For this concert at Le Botanique, Dida will be joined on stage by DJ Startup.
DOSS
Over the past ten years, the pseudonym "Doss" has come to represent a vision of increasing rarity on the dance scene: not just a sound, but an ethos, a tension, an assemblage of disparate moods fusing around a single idea.
From her 2014 debut to the present day, the beatmaker, singer and DJ has experimented with many tools, making use of drum beats or vocal contortions. In the end, Doss' compositions are best defined by her slogan: "It's the music". There's no need to try and put a label on it.
LOTO RETINA (LIVE)
A live performance in which a semi-dancing chaos is composed with velocity and fantasy, inhabited by struck, scraped, caressed percussions and semi-humanoid onomatopoeia. The samples are jostling and jumping around like in a cartoon.
MUNIX (LIVE A/V)
After spending several years taking part in collaborative projects (nevrland, Heartbroken, Folie Douce), Benjamin Munix unveiled his first solo EP, "Left Out", in May. Released via Worldwide Unlimited (DJ Python's community project) and City Links Recordings, the 6-track EP features compositions co-produced with DJ KIT (Planet 1999).
Sailing between ambient and club music, but equally rich in references to Shoegaze, Hip-Hop and Punk Rock, "Left Out" serves as an introduction to a tormented yet hopeful universe. Through these 6 tracks, Munix concentrates on textures and melodies, working with a minimalist approach for maximal results. Echoing the emotions linked to the passage from adolescence to adulthood, his compositions sound like a search for happiness and freedom through melancholy and solitude.
