Bota Kids: a unique cultural morning for young audiences.

Well-known for its programme of concerts and art exhibitions, the Botanique is continuing to develop the 'Bota Kids' project, an introduction to music and the visual arts for the youngest, enabling them to discover the world of concerts and exhibitions at their own level. It's a real opportunity for children to discover what their parents usually come to see in our glass house, through a specially adapted formula.

AN INTRODUCTION TO MUSIC FOR THE YOUNGEST

Rock'n bazar. Chanson. Ambient. After a first album recorded between Quebec and Belgium, which took him on the road throughout the French-speaking world, he went on to support the likes of Juliette Gréco, Albin de la Simone, Daan and Govrache. Winner of the Parcours FrancoFaune in Brussels, his second album, 'L'imprévu', was released on the Belgian label Igloo Records.

He won a Coup de cœur chanson from the Académie Charles Cros. Steeped in Belgian-ness and happy melancholy, his lyrics are a reminder of his visceral attachment to his origins. A thousand lives of discovery have gone into expanding his wide-ranging musical tastes and infusing his songs with rock, folk, psychedelic and ambient influences.

On stage, we discover him in a new duo format with Manu Coenen (Les hommes boîtes, Brümes, Studio Musiekfabriken...). These two multi-instrumentalists come together around a drum kit, a bass, a guitar and a few samples and haunting rhythms. Their new album will be released in early 2024.

CREATIVE WORKSHOP WITH CÉLINE CUVELIER

Before the concert, meet at 10am in the Café. Artist Céline Cuvelier will be offering children a workshop in which they can create and decorate musical instruments and sound objects. Get your eyes and ears ready!
