Boomerang presents: Bugasmurf Shroomania Release Party

Fresh on the scene but already out-of-this world, Bugasmurf’s on a mission crankin’ up the meters and makin’ ears pop! After collaborating and touring with artist Golin, releasing some next-EDM on PRR! PRR! label under the monikers Winter Conference and Buga, the southern Belgium-born dropped « Bugasmurf Island » on local’s Boomerang last year. Celebrating this time the release of his new EP « Shroomania », he brings a shooting star lineup to the Botanique’s basement for a historic launch. Ready to blast off? Watch out for the drop!!

CEDRIC MADDEN

In 2022, Cedric Madden released a first EP called « Digital » on Pink Noise, a record label and production group co-founded alongside ryanjacob, Ginseng, Mike Frost, and MISOGI. They’re best known for their work with rappers like Yeat, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Destroy Lonely (to name a few). Meanwhile, Cedric uses to regularly deliver bitcrush’d-tronica gems online, including the already-classic « Bittersweet » re-released by Boomerang as a limited 7'' vinyl last year. Today’s featured in Bugasmurf « Shroomania », Cedric Madden is coming straight from the other side of the Atlantic for a Belgian debut.

DAVID NUMWAMI

Awards-wining guitarist by day and superstar DJ by night, David Numwami almost needs no introduction here. After touring with approximately the whole french touch scene during the last 5 years (Charlotte Gainsbourg, Sebastien Tellier, Nicolas Godin from Air…), the Brussels’ prodigy spends more time making music in his beloved city nowadays (you probably catched him playing B2B with Bugasmurf in a park by the way). With two EPs released to his credit, « Numwami World » and « I Love You », David definitely blows a fresh breeze on Belgium’s pop.

SAMUELSPANIEL

Introducing Boomerang back in 2019 alongside label-mates Dj David Goblin and Bugasmurf, Samuelspaniel’s most notable work ‘till this day is a megamix series called « 300’s » regrouping the critically acclaimed « BOO000 » and a guest-mix for Oli XL’s NTS residency among others. His music is described as a dense and dizzying electronic sound, blending spaced-out rubber bounces and fidgety proto-blog house.

ELLA BLOU

Self-proclaimed « Beep Boop » international first lady, British deejay Ella Blou has a few tricks up one sleeve. Always travelling from the best Shibuya-kei, passing by the most silly’n cartoonish tunes to the rarest 2000’s filter-house, every mix she drop seem to come straight out a bottomless purse. Alongside her London’s Plastic Village residency and Boomerang’s contribution last year, Ella Blou just launched the first edition of her own party series called « Club BoOp ».
