Swedish Singer-songwriter Amanda Bergman, known for her distinctive warm and raspy voice, has touched people around the world for over a decade. What began as a journey of not wanting to become an artist at all, under the mysterious pseudonyms Hajen and Idiot Wind, later evolved into her role as the lead singer for the supergroup Amason, consisting of none other than Miike Snow’s Pontus Winnberg, Dungen’s Gustav Ejstes, jazz drummer Nils Törnqvist and Petter Winnberg, who later on became her husband. Following Amason’s wild success Amanda released her 2016 debut solo album 'Docks'. The critically acclaimed album put Amanda Bergman’s name on the world map receiving praise from personal heroes like Justin Vernon and Adam Granduciel. Even though it’s been 8 years since its release in 2016, Amanda has been everything but passive. During the past years she has managed to purchase a farm in the outskirts of Sweden, released albums with Amason, won multiple awards, launched the concert venue "Rockbonden”.
The past eight years have also been marked with mental health struggles and the journey back to normal, as well as constant contemplation of life's bigger questions. On June 7th 2024, Amanda Bergman is finally back with her sophomore album titled "Your Hand Forever Checking On My Fever," set to be released via her own newly established record label CowCow. Just like everything else in Amanda’s life, the label is run from the farm together with her husband, songwriting partner and producer, Petter Winnberg.
