A project by Emmanuel Bayon at Botanique #NUITS17
A true urban surgeon, this young street artist touches the smallest scratches in the public space. On his wanderings, his keen eye notices missing cobblestones and broken tiles; basically, all the daily cuts and grazes that his In Situ operations allow him to bandage. He tends to create them in a wild and spontaneous manner, with recycled materials coloured bright red.
Invited by Botanique to create an original project for the “Les Nuits Botanique 2017” festival, he decided to take care of the iconic glass skylights of the Rotonde, the museum’s central hall, that two centuries of existence have not left unscathed. After their visit to the infirmary, the skylights will be given back their rhythm thanks to their largely poetic repairs.
